One of Canada’s fastest rising Country stars is bringing her all or
nothing act to Newmarkets Summerfest on Main this weekend.
Kelsey Mayne will grace the stage on August 21st, coming off a show
at the Calgary Stampede just a few weeks ago. Over the last year
kesley has just been getting bigger and bigger playing at festivals like
boots and hearts and opening for Russell Dickerson back in March of
2024.
If you want to see Kelsey perform she will be on the mainstage at
Summer fest on Main Thursday between 4 and 6 PM.
Newmarket's newest business is officially open.
The long awaited arrival of the new Costco is today.
The warehouse that includes a 24 gas pump bar is located at 107
Harry walker parkway south.
The new warehouse is expected to draw a crowd from not only the
Newmarket but other surrounding towns like Georgina and East
Gwillembury.
The best news is that there is plenty of parking with over 1 thousand
spots.
With Costco opening the superstore created more than 80 jobs in the
area.
Statistics Canada released their monthly inflation report yesterday,
and the good news is that inflation cooled to 1.7 percent in the month
of July, mainly due to low gas prices.
It wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows though, because despite inflation
cooling the cost of food rose to 3.4 percent at the grocery store.
According to the government agency a big reason for the price of food
sky rocketing from 2.8 to 3.4 percent was the dry weather that we
have been seeing in Canada and in other countries.
