Starting today, it will be easier to access health care for little ones in Georgina. A brand new child care clinic is opening up. Thanks to a partnership between the Georgina Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic, Northern York, South Simcoe Ontario Health Team, and Southlake. Families can now bring children between the ages of 6 months and 18 years old to the new clinic for primary health care with no referral. The clinic will deal with things like colds, fevers, and minor injuries,
and is located at 443 Queensway South, here in Keswick. Ontario Premier Doug Ford has bet big on electric vehicles over the last couple of years, and the investment seems to be paying off. Investors have been running to Ontario, and the province has attracted over $44 billion in EV investors over the last 4 years. The United States, as an entire country, has managed $123 billion over that same time span. According to reports from last year, Canada has also surpassed China as the number one
global supplier of EVs, and the Ford government has been a big part of that accomplishment. All over Ontario, plants have been popping up dedicated to building everything EV, whether it be parts or batteries. Tension between Canada and India continues to grow. Over the Thanksgiving weekend, India ordered the expulsion of 6 Canadian diplomats and withdrew its own envoy from Canada. This comes after the federal government named him and others as persons of interest in an investigation. The tension between the two countries dates back to 2023, when Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau claimed that he had evidence linking Indian agents to the assassination of a Sikh separatist leader in British Columbia. India has denied the claim and has accused Trudeau of pursuing a political agenda.
