The Uxbridge Enforcers U11C lacrosse team has won the provincial championship, beating the Quinte Bayhawks and bringing another championship banner home to Uxbridge. Led by coach Ben Weatherbee, the team’s victory marks the second consecutive year an Uxbridge team has won a lacrosse championship, following the U9B title in 2025. Congratulations Enforcers.

Another Uxbridge champion, Victoria McDonald has won a bronze medal in the 100-metre breaststroke at the Canadian Summer Special Olympics Games in Medicine Hat. The finals were held Wednesday at the Big Marble Go Centre. Today McDonald is also competing in the 100-metre freestyle divisioning heat. Good luck Victoria!

The Scugog Arena in Port Perry will mark its 50th anniversary with a community celebration on Saturday, September 19, at the Scugog Community Recreation Centre. A free open house from 1 to 4 p.m. will feature historical photographs, memorabilia and stories highlighting the arena’s five decades of community use. The anniversary will also include a ticketed evening dance and hockey fans can look forward to weekend games with the Port Perry Lumberjacks.
