The Town recently approved a new Accessibility Plan to last until 2029 and make the community more accessible and welcoming. Residents can learn about accessibility programs, explore accessible features at Town facilities, and share any accessibility concerns with the Town.
York Region says safety on York Region Transit (YRT) improved in 2025, with reported incidents down 8.6 per cent from the previous year. YRT continues to work with police and community organizations to support rider safety and help vulnerable residents.
