Residents are invited to celebrate Seniors Month with an afternoon of local art and creativity at the Uxbridge Seniors Centre on Marietta Street. The event is presented by the Artists of Uxbridge, runs from 1 to 2 p.m. and will showcase the work of local artists. No registration is required to attend.

The Township marked the start of Pride Month with a flag-raising ceremony attended by Council, staff, community members, and North Durham PRIDE. Officials reaffirmed their commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming community that celebrates diversity and supports 2SLGBTQI+ residents. The Township also recognized June as National Indigenous Heritage Month, encouraging residents to honour the cultures, histories, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples while reflecting on the ongoing journey toward reconciliation.

Canada has officially told the United States and Mexico that it wants to renew the Canada-U.S.-Mexico trade agreement, known as CUSMA. Trade Minister Dominic LeBlanc is meeting with U.S. officials as Canada pushes for relief from tariffs and prepares for possible negotiations on changes to the deal. While the U.S. has suggested it wants revisions to the agreement, experts say a full withdrawal is unlikely because of the importance of trade between the three countries.
