Officials are warning drivers that reduced daylight during the fall and winter months can create hazardous conditions for morning and evening commuters.  Motorists are urged to take extra precautions when approaching intersections and watch for other drivers, pedestrians and cyclists, while keeping windshields clean inside and out to improve visibility.

A memorial art display honouring Indigenous women and children who have been murdered or gone missing is on view throughout October at the Health and Active Living Plaza, in east Gwillimbury. Presented in partnership with The Family Place in Mount Albert and created in collaboration with The Canadian Library, the community-led installation features covered books bearing the names of those whose lives were lost. The display invites residents to reflect, remember and learn while supporting ongoing efforts toward reconciliation.
