Deputy Chief Chris Landry says officers want to educate young riders and their parents about the rules before turning to enforcement, although charges could be laid when there’s a serious risk of harm. E-scooters are currently prohibited on public roads, sidewalks, parks and trails in both communities, and police say residents can contact them if they have concerns about unsafe riding.
