It’s been a difficult week of big losses of some iconic stars, with tributes for Dolly Parton continuing to pour in from across the world. Members of Georgina Council, Town staff and the Jackson’s Point BIA recently gathered at the revitalized Jackson’s Point Parkette to recognize the BIA’s $15,000 contribution to the project. The improvements include wider accessible walkways, upgraded lighting, new seating areas and refreshed landscaping. The revitalized parkette now offers a more welcoming and accessible space for residents and visitors to gather.

Yonge Street in Holland Landing has partially reopened to traffic today, between Mount Albert Road and Bradford Street/Thompson Drive as revitalization work continues. The section between Bradford Street/Thompson Drive and Doane Road will remain closed until October 2, due to safety concerns related to the culvert installation. Officials thank residents for their patience.
