York Regional Police are warning residents about distraction thefts, which can happen anywhere when thieves take advantage of people who aren’t paying attention. Stay aware of your surroundings, and never let strangers enter your personal space or touch you or your valuables.

Residents can check who is running for council and school boards, with voting taking place online from October 17 to 26.
