Durham Regional Police are warning parents about an online predator network known as “The Com,” which allegedly targets children and teens aged eight to 17 through grooming, coercion and intimidation. Police say the network is suspected to be linked to several recent incidents across Durham, and warn that offenders use platforms such as Discord, Snapchat, Roblox and Minecraft to reach young people. Parents are encouraged to monitor their children’s online activity, watch for behavioural changes, save relevant messages, usernames and screenshots and report concerns to police.
