Give yourself a little extra time on your commute in Georgina the next few days. For the next two days, Sainte-Christe Road will be closed at Highway 48 for ongoing roadwork. The road will be closed as a culvert will be installed underneath the roadway. Detour signs will of course be in place, and if you want more information on the project, you can visit georgina.ca. The Canada Food Inspection Agency announced
another recall due to Listeria. This time in Ontario, more than a dozen beef jelly tongue products have been recalled because of the possible bacteria. The recall affects 13 different brands that were sold in London, Waterloo, Kitchener, and the Greater Toronto Area. There are no telltale signs that a product contains the bacteria, so the Canada Food Inspection Agency says that if you are in possession of any of these products, you should just throw them out immediately,
or return them to the place of purchase. Expect packed cities across the country today. There are rallies that are scheduled clear across Canada, as today marks one year since Hamas’s attack on Israel. The rallies are in support of hostages who still haven’t made it back home, and to remember victims who lost their lives. In Ottawa, Conservative and Liberal MPs are expected to show their support at a rally at Parliament Hill. At the provincial level, you will see the same thing at Queen’s Park in Toronto. Hamas’s incursion into Israel a year ago saw more than 1,200 Israelis killed and 240 hostages taken.
