There were people in the region that were enjoying a cold beverage
and the beautiful weather that we saw over the long weekend.
Unfortunately there were also those who decided to get behind the
wheel once they were done.
Durham regional police caught 13 suspected impaired drivers
between Friday and Monday.
Durham regional police are asking residents to call 9-1-1 if they see a
suspected impaired driver to help keep our roads safe.
The temperature isn’t the only thing that is hot right now.. The Toronto
Blue Jays bats right now have been confirmed to be hotter than the
sun.
The Jays have been on fire since Canada day and yesterday they hit
their way into the MLB record books by routing the Rockies over the
last 3 days combining for 63 hits, which is an MLB record.
The Jays crushed the Rockies 20-1 yesterday afternoon and remain
the number 1 seed in the American League.
Next up for the Jays is a date with the face of the major leagues
Shohai Ontani and the LA Dodgers. The Jays will get today off to travel
to the west coast and the series will begin Friday night.
Canada is now dealing with a salmonella outbreak thanks to certain
brands of pistachios, and products containing pistachios.
According to health Canada 52 cases of Salmonella have been
reported across 4 different provinces.
The public health agency of Canada has pinpointed the cause of the
outbreak and issued a recall for the products from the brands Habibi,
Dubai and Al Moktar Food center.
